Wilma Whaley Swaim

Mrs. Wilma Whaley Swaim, 92, of Douglasville and formerly of Cohutta, passed away, Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.

She was the daughter of the late Hartness and Clara Rose Whaley and was preceded in death by her husband, Waylon Andrew Swaim; son, Michael Hartness Swaim; sisters, Sarah Whaley and Evlyn Whaley Greeson; brother, Zell Whaley.

Wilma is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Danny Kuykendall of Douglasville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Linda Swaim, Rodger and Judy Swaim of Douglasville, and Mark and Ann Swaim of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Mildred Whaley of Cohutta; grandchildren, Amy (Jimmy) Cowart, Julie (Dr. Alan) Kozarsky, Chad (Jennifer) Swaim, Stephanie (Brent) Blaze, Adrienne (Dan) Tedesco, Jason Swaim, Joseph (Claire) Swaim, Elyssa Kuykendall, Mark Kuykendall; great-grandchildren, Jimmy Cowart, Abigail Cowart, Nicholas Cowart, Chandler Cowart, Caroline Kozarsky, Eliot Kozarsky, Olivia Swaim, Kayleigh Blaze and Lacie Blaze; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
