Mr. Kenneth Lamar Overton, 57, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, July 4, 2009, at the local hospital.
Kenneth was born July 24, 1951, in Whitfield County, a son of the late Guy and Dorothy Overton.
He is survived his daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and James Asberry of Pikeville, Tenn., Patricia and Billy Austin of Dalton Mary and John Glover of Rocky Face; brother and sister-in-law, Wallace and Bernice Overton of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alice Crow of Fort Myers, Fla., Elizabeth and Bob Ward of Dalton, Brenda and Ralph Cline of Tunnel Hill, Ruth and Tim Shrum of Rising Fawn; grandchildren, Dustin James Asberry, Brady Lucas Asberry, Brandon Lee Morgan, Makayla Leann Morgan, Dakota James Morgan, Katelynn Shianne Glover, Johnny Andrew Glover; special friends Becky Overton, Bill Austin; and nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth Lamar Overton are Wednesday, July 8, at 5 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Thomason and the Rev. Rhoda Howell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
