Wilma Jean Rodriguez Farris

Mrs. Wilma Jean Rodriguez Farris, 54, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, July 1, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

Wilma was born Dec. 18, 1954 in Sweetwater, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Louise Ingram Dotson; son, Robert Leon Carver.

She is survived by her father, Cecil Farris of Athens, Tenn.; special companion, Carlos Aguilar Solis; daughters and sons-in-law, Mechelle and Sergio Giron, Letisia and Ismael Garcia-Sanchez, Lana Lopez and Rosa Farris; grandchildren, Veronica Giron, Avie Giron, Brianna Giron, Adam Garcia, Christian Garcia, Dasia Garcia, Jose Lopez and Rebecah Lopez, all of Dalton; several brothers and sisters.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilma Jean Rodriguez Farris are Monday at 10 a.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Snyder and Sergio Giron officiating.

She will be laid to rest at the New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Madisonville, Tenn. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
