Freddie Lee Jackson, 66, of Rocky Face, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Felix Jackson; and a brother-in-law, Otis Reamey.
Mr. Jackson was a member of Dogwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include the mother of his son and caregiver, Jennifer Debord of Rocky Face; son and daughter-in-law, Phil and Stephanie Jackson of Rocky Face; mother, Margaret Jackson of Brookneal, Va.; sister, Peggy Reamey of Brookneal, Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Petie Jackson of Richmond, Va.; grandchildren, Derek and Shelby Jackson; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Gentry and Roy Gentry Jr. officiating.
Burial will be in the Dogwood Valley Cemetery. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5 to 9 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Dogwood Christian Academy or Dogwood Baptist Chuch.
