Ms. Bessie Lou Epperson, 82, of Dalton departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at her residence.
Ms. Epperson was a retired school teacher for more than 30 years in Whitfield County, the last school she taught at was Valley Point Elementary School; she was also a member of Central Church of Christ.
Ms. Epperson is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Charme and Dwight Robarts of Dallas, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Angie Epperson, Rome, Dirk and Magda Epperson, Tunnel Hill; sisters, Gladys Clark, Greenwood, S.C., Myrtis Scoggin, Clinton, S.C.
Services to celebrate the life of Bessie will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral with the Rev. Ross Jordan and the Rev. Dwight Robarts officiating.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Funeral Home following the service.
