Betty Faye Cassell

Ms. Betty Faye Cassell, 62, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 2010.

Betty was born March 10, 1947, in Luttrell, Tenn., a daughter of the late Columbus Brank Cassell and Dora Melinda Tharpe Cassell.

She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly.

She is survived by her sons, Ronnie Wayne Cassell and Danny Seymour Jr.; daughters, Sherry Renee Seymour and Dana Seymour; grandchildren, Matthew, Christin, Zantheius and Lexi; stepchildren, Ronnie Langley Jr. and Teresa Rohn; sisters, Jeane Hughes of Newnan and Sherry Cassell of Dalton; best friends, Alice Powell and Jamie “Baby Girl” Ledford, both of Dalton; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Betty Faye Cassell will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Kaylon Hughes and the Rev. Alan Bryant officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery with Paul Bohannon, Jimmy Powell, Dean Blevins, Toby Hughes, Leith Chandler and Cal Hughes serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday.
