Rudolph Mullins

Mr. Rudolph Mullins, 77, of Dalton, went to live with his heavenly father Tuesday morning, Feb. 2, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Rudolph was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Whitfield County, Georgia, a son of the late Henry and Estelle Morgan Mullins. He was also preceded in death by his infant daughter Lisa Mullins.

He is survived by his wife of 571/2 years, Louise Carroll Mullins of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Jane Mullins of Cleveland, Tenn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Larry Johnson, Gail and Willie Whiteside of Dalton, Cheryle and Todd Schoeneman of Ellijay, Doris and Tommy Davis of Ringgold; grandchildren, Kelvin and Teri Mullins, Andrea and Kelly Ridings, Nathan and Jan Mullins, Tracie Johnson, Kristy and Cole Smith, Lamar Craig, Andrew Whiteside, Jake Whiteside, Mei-Ling Schoeneman, Trey and Beth Davis, Emily Davis, Lori and Shady Burmeister, and Kim Howard; great-grandchildren; Hannah Mullins, Abigale and Morgan Mullins, Emma and Nicholas Ridings, Sophia and Lola Mae Smith, Isabella Davis, Kylee and Landon Burmeister.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Rudolph Mullins will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Lamar Beason and Dr. Danny Cochran officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Kelvin Mullins, Nathan Mullins, Andrew Whiteside, Lamar Craig, Kelly Ridings and Trey Davis serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 until 9 p.m. on Thursday.
