Mrs. Leah Patterson Henson, 74, of Dalton went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 9, 2009, at her residence.
Leah was born March 6, 1935, in Fannin County, a daughter of the late Clint Alfred Patterson and Ruby Kate Pullium.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harley William Henson.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jearline and Jerry Howard of Dalton; grandson and his wife, Jerimy and April Howard of Villa Rica; brother and sister-in-law, Luther and Susan Patterson of McCaysville; sister, Vera Bryant of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of Leah Henson are Saturday at 4 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church in Mineral Bluff with Mrs. Henson lying in state one hour prior to the service.
She will be laid to rest in the New Liberty Church Cemetery with the Rev. Clifton Patterson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
