Mr. James Ernest Norton, 46, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 2, 2010, at his residence.
Jim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Helen Feighery and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Belva Norton.
He is survived by his parents, Mickey and Ed Norton; sister, Tammy Norton Holmes; brother, Jeremy Edwin Norton and fiancée Allison Hammontree.
Beloved family members include aunts, uncles and cousins including Ron and Monica Whaley of Rocky Face, Vickey Gordon of Dalton, Danielle, Alex and Oliver Ezell of Nashville, Michael Gordon and Mallory Whaley of Dalton and special lifelong friends, Mark Wilson of Atlanta and Robin Ellenburg of Florida
“Jim” had a passion for life and a love of animals and requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Humane Society of Northwest Georgia, P.O. Box 3946, Dalton, GA 30719.
A Memorial Mass will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home today from 5 to 7 p.m.
