Bobby Leon Chapman



Mr. Bobby Leon Chapman, 74 of Dalton, passed away on Thursday morning, Jan. 3, 2013, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Bobby was born on June 28, 1938, in Cedartown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Ruth Chapman; sisters, Jean Camp and Betty Murphy; a brother, Billy Chapman.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Connie Chapman; sons and daughters-in-law, Derrick and Lindsay Chapman of Atlanta and Mike and Betty Chapman of Acworth; sisters and a brother-in-law, Sandra and Jimmy Golf and Linda Mullis, all of Dalton; brothers and a sister-in-law, Tommy Chapman and Terry and Ricky Chapman, all of Dalton; grandchildren, Schylar Chapman, Avery Hertel and Bobby Chapman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Wood Dale Heath Care Center for the kindness and care shown toward Bobby.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bobby Leon Chapman will be  at 2 p.m. Monday at Dalton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Robin Lindsay officiating.

The family would like to welcome everyone to a reception that will follow the service.
