Mr. Hardie Kilby, 89, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 17, 1920, in Gilmer County, a son of the late John Bunyon and Carrie Allen Kilby. He was also preceded in death by his son, Donnie Kilby; brother, Horace Kilby.
He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Edith Newton Kilby of the residence; daughter, Patricia Blalock of Dalton; sisters, Lassie Newton of Dalton, Dorothy Becknell, Doris Martin of Atlanta; one grandson John Kilby of Tunnel Hill.
Memorial services to celebrate the life of Mr. Hardie Kilby will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Dug Gap Road with Donald Stewart officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
