Edwadene McAllister

Edwadene Strickland McAllister, 83, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.L. Strickland; second husband, Charlie McAllister; parents, John Henry and Lela McWater Smith; brother, Boyd Smith; and sisters, Opal Maurino and Jean Quick.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Larry Reed of Dalton, and Myra and Noody Sheram of Rocky Face; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Debra Strickland of Crandall, and Donny and Pamela Strickland of Resaca; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Delbert Callahan of Varnell; eight grandchildren, Matt and Amanda, Scout and Colt Strickland, Dana Dunsmore, Devan Martin, Larry and Ashley Reed Jr., Chase and Krista Sheram, and Corbin Sheram; and several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Edwards officiating.

Burial will be in Center Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 p.m.
