Marsha Richardson Hocking

Marsha Richardson Hocking, 53, of Kingsport, Tenn., and formerly of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Harvey Richardson, and brother, Al Richardson.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Hocking of Kingsport; three daughters and sons-in-law, Summer and Zach Morris of Sugar Valley, Andrea and Michael Cox of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Rachel and Michael Hodges of Petersburgh, Va.; mother, Joyce Mathis of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Stephanie Richardson of Dalton; sister-in-law, Glenda Fisher of Dalton; six grandchildren; aunt, Ruby Kittle of Dalton; and nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.

Burial will be at Grove Level Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations be made to American Heart Association or the ALS Society.
