Betty Lou Stanley Holt



Mrs. Betty Lou Stanley Holt, 76, of Dalton, departed this life Thursday, March 14, 2013, at her residence.

Betty was born March 28, 1936, in Blue Ridge, a daughter of the late Everett P. and Lois Sutton Stanley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Holt; sister, Carol Godfrey.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Vicky Patterson, Lisa and Robert Cross; stepdaughter, Donna and Leonard Smith; stepsons, Wayne and Sherry Holt, all of Dalton, David and Wanda Holt of Ringgold; special son, Eric and Hollie Patterson; grandchildren, Brandon Patterson, Ashley Patterson-Neal; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Vicki Stanley of Cohutta, Daniel and Sharon Stanley of Blue Ridge, Darrell Stanley of Rising Fawn, Dale and Joy Stanley of Cohutta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jean Webb, Barbara Warren of Dalton, Wanda and Dennis Gilbert of Chickamauga, James Godfrey of Dalton; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Louise Holt; nieces and nephews.          

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Lou Stanley Holt will be Saturday at 11 a.m. from  Ponders Melrose Chapel with Tyler Gilreath and Aaron Stanley officiating.

Interment will be in Stanley Cemetery in Blue Ridge.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
