William Samuel ‘Sam’ Abernathy

Mr. William Samuel “Sam” Abernathy, 67, of Crandall, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2013.  

He is preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Scott.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie Abernathy; children and spouse, Jacky D. Abernathy, William E. Abernathy, the Rev. Tony and Kim Abernathy all of Crandall; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three sisters, Dolly Harris of Rocky Face, Janice Farlett of Dalton and Eula Lyles of Americus; one brother, Grady Abernathy of Rainbow City, Ala.;  several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cisco Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Staten and the Rev David Evans officiating. He will be at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Interment will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Shawn Chapman Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
