Paul Joseph Cline



Mr. Paul Joseph Cline, 57, of Dalton, departed this life Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the local hospital.

He was born July 3, 1955, in Dalton.

Paul was a graduate of West Side High School, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and worked many years at Brown Printing. Paul was very passionate about working with the Dalton Police Department and was the first volunteer for the Dalton Police Department. He received the Presidential Award for Volunteering.

He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Ophelia Willis Landreth and Woodrow Landreth; his brother, Charles William Cline, who gave his life for his country in Vietnam, and a niece, Latisha Roach; father, Paul Lester Cline.

He is survived by his niece and nephew, whom he thought of as his own children, Tonya Landreth and Nate Heatherly; brother and sister-in-law, George and Lana Landreth; sisters, Sandra English, Nina Colleen and Terry Rich; nieces and nephews, Celeste Mashburn, Patrick and Gloria Davis, Cody Landreth and Bryson Mashburn; cousins, Christine Palmer and Matthew Palmer.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Paul Joseph Cline will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Rev. Raymond McCranie officiating.

He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with military graveside honors provided by the American Legion Dalton Post 112.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel today from 5 to 9 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
