Brenda Sue Scott

Mrs. Brenda Sue Scott, 63, of Resaca, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church, where she had attended all of her life. She was a parapro at Spring Place Elementary School and loved children.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Exie Moore; husband, Billy Scott; Glen Mashburn, Jim Mashburn, Jeff Mashburn, Lemon Mashburn, George Mashburn, Estelle Hall, Gladys Hawkins, Loucille Timms, Hope Moore, Rembrandt Moore, Agnes Moore, Cleo Moore, D.V. Moore and Frank Moore.

Survivors include Bobby and Peggy Mashburn of Dalton, Randy and Kathy Mashburn, Jennifer, Lindsey and Rana Mashburn, Bruce Mashburn and Will Mashburn, all of Dalton; Willis and Catherine Mashburn of Dalton, Jack and Cathryn Mashburn of Resaca; Geneva Seago, Gladys Mashburn, Ray and Wanda Moore and Nell Boswell, all of Dalton; Ruby Mashburn, Goldie Mashburn and Edna Paul, all of Resaca; 10-year-old Carlos Bastillo; Dennis and Melinda Setser of Monroe City, Ind., Rich and Lisa Kovacs of Lewisville, Texas; and Dale and Cathy Martoglio of Dieterich, Ill., Christi Hinkle, Danny Stork, Tori Setser, Summer Setser, Amber Wade, Alan Wade, Brittany Emmons, Andrienne Emmons, Sydney Stevenson and Kaydennce Woodsmall; nieces, nephews, other cousins, friends and relatives.

Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Maple Grove Baptist Church in Murray County with the Rev. Johnny Payne officiating.

Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today after 5 p.m. until the funeral hour on Friday.

Peeples Funeral Home of Chatsworth is in charge of arrangements.
