Jessie Brown Williams, 84, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, at Regency Park Assisted Living Center.
Jessie was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Dalton, a daughter of the late Tom and Lillie Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Williams Jr.; son, Jackie Williams; brothers, Lloyd Brown, Thomas Brown, Alfred Brown, J.W. Brown and Milburn Brown; sisters, Lola Burnette, Bonnie Nelson and Odell Williams.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Brenda Williams; sons and daughters-in law, Bobby and Sue Williams and Pastor Rickie and Nora Williams; a special daughter, Barbara Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Jenell and Glenn Smith; sisters-in-law, Pauline Brown and Marie Brown of Dalton; grandchildren, Ashley Williams, Jennifer and Tom Arnold, Kevin and Cherie Williams, Pastor Jeremiah and Sheri Williams, Amberly and Scott White, Jon Williams, Tim Williams and Lauren Williams; great-grandchildren, Blake Arnold, Emma Arnold, Abby Williams, Titus Williams, Taylor Williams Griffin White and Morgan White.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Jessie Brown Williams are Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Melrose chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremiah Williams, Pastor Trammell Campbell and Pastor Rick Williams officiating.
Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery in Dalton with Kevin Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Tom Arnold, Jon Williams and Tim Williams will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.
