Kenneth Eugene Sosebee

Mr. Kenneth Eugene Sosebee, 70, of Dalton, departed this life Wednesday morning, Sept. 1, 2010, at the local hospital.  

Kenneth was born Jan. 15, 1940, in Cartersville.  

He was preceded in death by his father, Winston Sosebee; stepfather, Sarge Holliday; a brother, Edward Sosebee and a sister, Nancy Sosebee.  

Kenneth proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Standard Adhesive (Para-Chem).  He was an avid golfer and loved to work in his yard.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judy McHan Sosebee of the residence; mother, Estie Holliday of Dawnsonville; daughters, Donna Amos and her husband, Barron, Rhonda Sosebee all of Chatsworth; sons, Bryan Sosebee and his wife, Jerri Lynn of Chatsworth, Scott Sosebee and his fiancée, Deanna Michael and her daughter, Bayleigh Michael of Cohutta; grandchildren, Heather and James Fredrick, Ashley Sosebee, Shae Sosebee, Tyler Sosebee and Bethany Slaton; great-granddaughter, Kyra Fredrick; sisters, Helen Cowart of Dawnsonvilleand Norma and Harry McKinnon of Tunica, Miss.; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Kenneth Sosebee will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.  He will be laid to rest at  United Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
