Robert ‘Bob’ Parker

Mr. Robert “Bob” Parker of Dalton departed this life on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012.

The second son of seven children, Bob was born in Blue Ridge to Perry Cleveland Parker Sr. and Annie Grace Amos Parker.

He resided in Dalton since 1966 and was employed by World Carpets until 1983 when he opened Parker and Company Dance Studio. He continued to pursue and promote the art of ballroom dancing until the end of his life. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and caring friend to all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Martine NIcole Parker; his son, Kevin Bart Parker; his grandson, Hunter Colton Parker; one brother, Billy Joe Parker, and his sisters, Clara Mae King, Martine Davenport and Peggy Asherbranner, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and a great many friends.

He will be greatly missed.

Services to celebrate his life will be at 1 p.m. today at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1309 Applewood Drive, Dalton, with Michael Ujlaki officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Kingdom Hall beginning at 11 am.

SouthCare Cremation Society and Memorial Centers of Marietta is in charge of arrangements.
