Mrs. Mary Frank Green, 80, of Dalton, departed this life on July 30, 2010, at Hamilton Medical Center. Mary was born on Aug. 17, 1929, in Dalton, a daughter of the late Joe  and Bessie Smith. She was also preceded  in death by her sister, Genevieve Harris. Mrs. Green was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She retired after 24 years as a paraprofessional at Antioch Elementary School. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Richard J. Green; her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sarah Green; her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kenneth Blankenship; a brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Jenell Smith, all of Dalton; grandchildren and their spouses, Richie and Marie Green, Katie Green, Clint and Amy Blankenship and Matt Blankenship; great-grandchild, Libby Green; special nieces, Dot Babb, granddaughter-in-heart, Susann Sosebee; nephews, Jim Harris, J.E. Harris, Bruce Smith and Kenneth Smith.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Mary Frank Green are today at 2 p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Lee officiating. She will be laid to rest at Antioch Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Richie Green, Clint Blankenship, Matt Blankenship, Jeff Sosebee, Bruce Smith and Kenny Green.

The family received friends Saturday evening.

Contributions may be made to the building fund at Fairview United Methodist Church, or flowers will be accepted.
