Jimmy Green

Mr. Jimmy Green, 53, of Rocky Face, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Alfred and Artell Ogle Green, and he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Alfred Green.

Jimmy was a black belt at United Karate Studios and an upstanding student at Ben Kiker Studios and loved playing music. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Cathleen McDowell Green of Rocky Face; son, A.J. (Amber Akins) Green of Rocky Face; daughters, Pamla Green of Rocky Face and Maria Lopez of Jasper, Tenn.; grandchildren, Alex Green, Shiloh Gragg and Aidan Green; sisters, Sandra Corral and Laura Green, both of Chatsworth; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Cathy Green of Dawnville, “Big” David Green of Dalton, “Little” David Cowart of Chatsworth, Tony Cowart of Tunnel Hill, Hershel and Cindy McDowell, and Robert (Trish Warren), all of LaFayette; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jackie Chastain officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
