Mrs. Lois Marie Blankenship, 60, of Dalton, departed this life on Friday, July 30, 2010, at Erlanger Medical Center.
Lois was born on Aug. 9, 1949, in Albernat, Ala., a daughter of the late Lloyd Lawson and Lois Cox Land.
She was a member of VFW 4985 Auxiliary and American Legion Post 47 Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph C. Blankenship of Dalton; sons and daughter-in-law, Christopher Sampson of Alabama, William and Stacy Hudson of Dalton; brother, Joe Lawson of Alabama; grandchildren, Austin Hudson, Mercedes Driver, Alexis Driver, Alvie Husan, Kissee Husan, Baba Husan; extended family and friends, Gene Burchfield, Gene Burchfield Jr., Dianne Cook and Terry Keith, Steve Cole, Elvin Cornelison, Gene and Tonya Cornelison, Bobby Dixon, Angel Garcia, Lucy Olivas, Miguel Orellana, Jerry Quarles.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lois Marie Blankenship will be Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010, at 1:30 p.m. at the VFW Post 4985.
