Judy Laubscher McClurg



Mrs. Judy Laubscher McClurg, 70, of Dalton passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at her home in Dalton after a long battle with cancer.

Judy was born on Dec. 8, 1941, in Chattanooga, to the late Edith and William Laubscher.

She was a devoted sales consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics for 30 years. Judy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dalton and a strong supporter of the Dalton Catamounts. She enjoyed traveling with her family and playing bridge with her friends.

Judy is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Charles Ronald McClurg of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Missy McClurg Hair and Dale of Dalton, Rhonda McClurg Gray and Douglas of Knoxville, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law, Chuck McClurg and Jody of Dalton; grandchildren, Dallas Hair, Chase Hair, Dee Gray, Anna Gray, Charlie McClurg and Parker McClurg. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mickey McClurg and Carolyn of Alcoa, Tenn., and Sam McClurg and Marsheine of Louisville, Tenn.; uncle and aunt, Cecil and Betty Ann Byers of Knoxville, Tenn.; niece, Sonyna McClurg Yates and nephew, Mike McClurg.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Dalton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Robin Lindsey officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home today from 4 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Mission Fund at Dalton First United Methodist Church, 500 S. Thornton Ave., Dalton. GA 30720.
