George Edward Poteet

Mr. George Edward Poteet, better known as “Pete,” 51, of Crandall, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, at Emory University Hospital.

Pete was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Floria Poteet, and Tom and Essie Mantooth.

Survivors include his parents, Harold and Bonnie Poteet of Crandall; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne and Lester Moore, Kathy and Gary Patterson, Sheila and Craig Bartley, and Donna and Darryl Farmer, all of Crandall; aunts; uncles; nieces; and nephews and cousins.

Funeral services for Mr. Poteet will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. A. J. Patterson and the Rev. Carson Scarbrough officiating.

Interment will follow in the Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 to 9 p.m.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
