Peggy Bruce Whittle McDaniel

After a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer, Peggy Bruce Whittle McDaniel went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

After growing up in Montgomery, Ala., Peggy attended Auburn University and graduated in 1966. She taught school for several years, raised her family and later had a career in sales.

Peggy was involved in several community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club. She was a member of ChristChurch Presbyterian in Dalton.

Peggy was predeceased in death by her parents, Walter Herbert Whittle and Elizabeth Cruise Whittle, and her husband, Billy George McDaniel.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Holley Trevitt of Macon, and Laurie (Mark) Berry of Cumming; four grandchildren, Will and Charlie Trevitt, and Hope and Hudson Berry; two sisters, Andrea Whittle Livingston (Eddie) and Kathy Whittle Sparkman (Greg); and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Monday.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Dalton, P.O. Box 309, Dalton, GA 30722.
