DALTON — Mr. Gerald Vance Patrick Jr., 61, of Dalton, passed away Monday, March 8, 2010, at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late Gerald Vance Patrick Sr. and Barbara Neff Patrick and was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet A. Patrick.
Gerald was a veteran of the United States Air Force and the United States Navy, having served in Vietnam.
He attended Dawnville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sarah Hogan Patrick of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, John and Melanie Patrick of Dalton; grandchildren, Sherri Wilson, Kathryn Patrick and Charles Patrick, all of Dalton; sisters, Sherri Beazley of Dallas, Texas, and Christina Neidig of Harrisburg, Pa.; brother, David Patrick of Harrisburg, Pa.; aunt, Edith McPherson of Williams Port, Pa.; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dawnville United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Merk officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Thursday from noon until the service at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1 Corporate Square, Suite 127, Atlanta, GA 30329.
