Rose Mae Daugherty

DALTON —

Rose Mae Daugherty, 93, of Dalton passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012, at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Daugherty; son, Larry Daugherty; her parents, Will and Jesse Raper Cook; sisters, Leona Elliott, Verna Thompson, Inez Anderson; brothers, Randall Cook, Parks Cook, and Arvil Cook.

She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene of Dalton.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Blaine and Betty Cook of Oakridge, Ore., numerous nieces and nephews, a special friend, Jimmy Gauldin and very caring neighbors, Mike and Kathy Whaley.

The funeral is Monday at 1 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel with the Rev. Gary Mimbs and the Rev. Mark Amspaugh officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Burial will be at West Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Cook, Eddie Elliott, Jimmy Cook, Ray Elliott, Sam Elliott and David Thompson. Nephews will be serving as honorary pallbearers.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions can be made to the First Nazarene Church of Dalton.
