Rose Marie Meeks

Mrs. Rose Marie Meeks, 81, of Cohutta, departed this life Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Hamilton Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Dalton, a daughter of the late James Rose and Lucille Moore Meeks. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Meeks, and grandson, Richard Ellis.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Renay Ellis of Cohutta, and Michael and Pat Martin of Pelham; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Randall Jones of Rocky Face, and Beverly Hite of Peachtree City; brother, Jack Meeks of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Martha Pilcher of Dalton, Barbara and Jack Hayes of Cropwell, Ala., and Evelyn Meeks of Dalton; sister-in-law, Irene Meeks; friend, Carolyn Griffin; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rose Marie Meeks will be held Monday at 10 a.m. from the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dewey Boyd officiating.
