Lula (Billie) H. Hawkins

Mrs. Lula (Billie) H. Hawkins, 89 of Dalton, went home to be with the Lord Friday evening, Jan. 4, 2013.

Lula was born on Jan. 11, 1923, in Dalton. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Lula was preceded in death by her husband, John Hawkins; parents, Joel and Emma Higgins; and her brothers and sisters.

Lula is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Aileen and Jerry Stephenson of Dalton; grandchildren, Alan and Kim Stepnenson, Trina and Jeff Seibenhener, Gary and Vicky Stephenson, Kim Stephenson and Vicky Stephenson; great-grandchildren, Courtney and Seth Harrison, Richey Boyd, Matthew Boyd, Alyssa Bartlett, Zachary Davis, Ashley Seibenhener, Justin Seibenhener and Macy Stephenson; great-great-grandchildren, Rileigh Morgan, Chase Jones, Kaidence Bartlett and Adaleigh Bartlett.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lula (Billie) Hawkins is today at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ricky Kaiser officiating.

Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery in Dalton.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the funeral.
