Frances Louise Rivers Ramsey



The Rev. Frances Louise Rivers Ramsey, 93, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Edward Jimmie Ramsey and daughter, Mrs. Lillian Gaston.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from the Whitfield County Health Department after 29 years of service.

Survivors are her loving family, daughter, Mrs. Jimmie L. (Herman) Luckey of Chatsworth; two sons, Raymond (Lillie) Bonds of Dalton and Earl (Valencia) Ramsey of Lithonia; a foster son, Stanley Moreland of Kennesaw; sister, Mrs. Mary Betton of Dalton; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Mrs. Eva Lou Rivers of Dalton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

She will be loved and missed dearly by everyone.

Home going service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Rodney Weaver, eulogist, Pastor Dr. Charles McAfee, the Rev. Jerry L. Burse, and other ministers officiating.

Her remains will be at the funeral home on Monday after 11 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
