Frances Pearl Cornwell



Mrs. Frances Pearl Cornwell, 87, of Dalton passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Quinton Memorial Healthcare and Rehab Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Cornwell; son-in-law, Tommy Kirk; father and mother, Jim and Mattie Ballew; brothers, Andrew, Wesley, and Bill Ballew; and sisters, Pauline Dixon, Thelma Creel, and Bertha Hooker.

She is survived by her daughters, Annette Kirk and Diane Coker of Dalton; grandchildren, Tammie Cox, Terry and Wendy Kirk, Angie and Frank Strong, Karen and Mark Muse, and Sharon and Daniel Ratcliff; great-grandchildren, Justin and Matt Kirk, Kiersten and Logan Strong, Kristopher, Kyle, and Kelsi Muse, and Leanne and Jason Richmond; great-great-grandchildren, Aislynn and Viridis Richmond; nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cornwell will be at 3 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with the Rev. Mitchell McDougle and the Rev. Donnie Flood officiating. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery.

Terry Kirk, Justin Kirk, Matt Kirk, Frank Strong, Mark Muse and Daniel Ratcliff will serve as pallbearers. Jason Richmond, Logan Strong, Kristopher Muse, Kyle Muse and Willy Shamblin will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m.

The family would like to thank the staff of Quinton Memorial for the love and care they provided.

Peeples Funeral Home and Crematory of Chatsworth is in charge of the arrangements.
