Gladys M. Chapman Mashburn

DALTON —

Mrs. Gladys M. Chapman Mashburn, 88, of Resaca died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Regency Park.

She was a longtime member of Maple Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Jim” Mashburn Jr.; son, James Jerry Mashburn; parents, Walter A. Sr. and Beatrice Brindle Chapman; brothers, John Chapman, Arthur Chapman, Horace Chapman, Anna Belle Chapman and Mabel Chapman.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Shelby Mashburn of Chatsworth; granddaughter and spouse, Crystal and Gary Hightower of Resaca; sister, Plly Bond of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter A. Jr. and Edith Chapman, Ernest and Jenell Chapman and Faye Chapman, all of Chatsworth; several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the care givers at Regency Park and Hamilton Hospice.

Services are Saturday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shawn CHapman Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Payne officiating.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
