Sandra Kay Cooper Moss

Ms. Sandra Kay Cooper Moss, 63, of Dalton, departed this life Friday afternoon, Aug. 10, 2012, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Kay was born July 1, 1949, in Dalton, a daughter of the late Earnest H. Cooper Sr. and Stella Bearden Cooper.  She was also preceded in death by her adoptive parents, Luther and Maggie Nesbit; grandchildren, Caitlynne Moss and Cameron Moss; brothers, Earnest Cooper Jr., Charles Cooper and David Nesbit and a brother-in-law, Junior Mathis.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Mackil Bailey; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Amy Moss, Steve Moss and Rhonda Hill, Jeremy and Jessica Moss, Keith and Shea Hudgins; brothers, Donnie and Shirley Cooper, Jerry Cooper; sisters, Yvonne Tuck, Jean Mathis and Bobbie Wise; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Sandra Kay Cooper Moss will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with the Revs. Scott Winters and Scott Parrish officiating.

She will be laid to rest at the Elrod (Welcome Hill) Cemetery with Tyler Moss, Isaac Moss, Matthew Moss, Austin Moss, Jimmy Powell and Dustin Montgomery serving as pallbearers.  

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday until the service hour.
