Berry College Theatre Company presents "Lend me a Tenor"
ROME — The Berry College Theatre Company will present "Lend Me a Tenor," the winner of three Tony Awards and four Drama Desk Awards, Nov. 12-14 and 19-22 in the E.H. Young Theatre. Show time is 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $5 opening night and $7 for all other performances. Call (706) 236-2263 to reserve tickets.
Set in 1934, "Lend Me a Tenor" focuses on an opera company that is preparing to welcome a star tenor, the greatest of his generation. The play follows the trials and tribulations the great opera star faces the night of his appearance, beginning before he even leaves his hotel room. A chain reaction of mistaken identity, plot twists, double entendres and innuendo will leave the audience teary eyed with laughter. Don’t miss this presentation of Ken Ludwig’s madcap, screwball comedy, directed by Berry faculty member Christian Boy.
