ALPHARETTA — Police in metro Atlanta are investigating the discovery of a human fetus left in the freezer at a vacant apartment.
WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/NY2712 ) that neighbors say the last tenants of the apartment in Alpharetta recently moved out. Police say a cleaning crew found the fetus Friday inside a shoebox found inside the freezer.
Alpharetta Police spokesman George Gordon describes the fetus as being “fully developed.”
Alpharetta police requested help from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and its mobile crime lab at the scene Friday evening. But Gordon says Alpharetta police remain the lead agency investigating the case.
