Two people were taken to area hospitals Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle wreck in Murray County, a 911 operator said.
The collision between a truck and a car occurred just after 4 p.m. near the intersection of Smyrna Church Road and Prince Beam Road. The operator said air transport was requested but flight was unsafe because of weather conditions. Ambulances took one person to Murray Medical Center and the other to Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton.
The Georgia State Patrol worked the wreck. An operator at the Calhoun post said the investigating trooper had not called in any information or filed a report by early Friday evening.
