Wagon Train, which is observing its 50th anniversary this year, continues through Sunday. Most events are at the Murray County Saddle Club (www.murraycountysaddleclub.com). Show schedules are available at the Web site.
Shows typically start at 7 each night. Admission buttons are $10 and are good for the whole week, except for the nightly dances (9 p.m. to midnight except Sunday, cost is $3).
The parade will be Friday beginning at 6 p.m. The opening ceremony for the Fourth of July show will be a tribute to the armed forces with special recognition to Dalton-based Charlie Troop, which has deployed to Afghanistan. Several members of Charlie Troop who did not deploy plan to attend.
A 50th anniversary Reinsman saddle will be given away on Saturday. Tickets for the drawing for the saddle are $10. The saddle can be seen at the ticket booth.
In honor of the 50th Wagon Train a 12-15 mile ride is scheduled for Saturday morning.
The saddle club is a covered arena, so shows will go on rain or shine, organizers say.
