U.S. Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., said the Georgia delegation will hold a Military Academy Day event on Saturday from 10 a.m. until noon at North Georgia College and State University in Dahlonega.
Academy Day is open to students in grades eight through 12. Representatives from all five academies will be in attendance to answer questions and explain requirements and expectations for the military academies.
“I’m pleased to work with the Georgia delegation to provide resources to students interested in attending one of our nation’s service academies,” said Chambliss. “I hope the experience will be helpful as they make the decisions that will lead them on their distinguished and honorable career path.”
All individuals interested in attending are encouraged to make a reservation by contacting Chambliss’ academy director, Theresa Milligan, at (770) 763-9090 or Theresa_Milligan@Chambliss.Senate.gov. The registration deadline is Friday at noon.
