CD raises $620 to help jobless


— The Bluegrass Bands & Helping Hands organization raised $620 with the release of its second CD, “Through the Eyes of a Child,” Saturday at the Dalton Freight Depot. The money will benefit the jobless through the North Georgia nonprofit organization DOC-UP (Dalton Organization of Churches United For People).

The CD is a collection of 22 donated tracks from various bluegrass artists including Louisa Branscomb, Jeanette Williams and Janet McGarry.
