The Bluegrass Bands & Helping Hands organization raised $620 with the release of its second CD, “Through the Eyes of a Child,” Saturday at the Dalton Freight Depot. The money will benefit the jobless through the North Georgia nonprofit organization DOC-UP (Dalton Organization of Churches United For People).
The CD is a collection of 22 donated tracks from various bluegrass artists including Louisa Branscomb, Jeanette Williams and Janet McGarry.
The CD may be purchased online at www.bluegrassbandshelpinghands.com or at the following area locations: Ace Hardware (Varnell), Bigham Discount Music (Dalton), Freight Depot Gift Shop (Dalton), Pentz Street Station (Dalton), Stephen’s Music Company (Calhoun), Sutton Family Pharmacy (Dalton) and Weavers Pharmacy (Rocky Face).
