Police are still searching for a man who robbed the Country Inn and Suites on West Bridge Road Friday night.
A clerk at the motel said Saturday evening that police are still investigating the crime. A message left for the Dalton Police Department was not immediately returned Saturday evening.
Police spokesman Bruce Frazier said Friday a black male, with short, close-cropped hair and wearing a suede or tan jacket, entered the hotel and milled around for a bit, and then demanded money from the clerk, indicating he was armed, although no weapon was shown. The man received an undisclosed amount of cash and left.
Frazier said the clerk was not injured but was “shaken up.”
