Candidate profile: Bryant Cochran eyes third term as Murray County chief magistrate

— Murray County Chief Magistrate Bryant Cochran said his biggest accomplishment since taking office is moving first appearance bond hearings for those who have been arrested to the jail from court offices at the courthouse annex.

“That has saved the county money for transporting those people. It has improved safety and reduced liability, cutting the chances for lawsuits,” he said.
