The Whitfield Healthcare Foundation is hosting its third annual “Swing for Wellness” Tennis Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 8, at Lakeshore Park.
Participants will enjoy a day filled with round robin tennis, great food, door prizes, award presentations and health and wellness information presented throughout the day.
The format for this year’s event is men’s, women’s and junior round-robin doubles. This all-day event starts with participant sign-in at 8 a.m. and play beginning at 9 a.m. Entry fee includes breakfast, lunch and dinner, T-shirt, goodie bag, door prize ticket and a commemorative team photo for each participant.
Between matches, participants will have the opportunity to receive disease prevention and wellness tips to help lead a healthier life. Rain date is set for Saturday, Sept. 15.
“Proceeds from the 2012 Swing for Wellness Tennis Tournament will benefit Hamilton Medical Center’s cardiac services expansion to meet the growing number of cardiac care procedures and to accommodate the complex interventional procedures that need more advanced technology to support treatment protocols,” Foundation Director Sharon Love said.
Contact the foundation office at (706) 272-6128 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information, to register or if you need help finding a partner. Registration forms are available at Lakeshore Park and the Dalton Golf and Country Club tennis pro-shop. Entry deadline is Saturday.
