Authorities were still searching late Saturday evening for Adolf Ray “Sonny” Neal, the man who is a suspect in the Thursday killings of two Dawnville individuals.
Capt. Rick Swiney with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office said that office continues to look, but there have been “no major developments yet.”
“We’re following up on leads that are coming in from friends and relatives that are out of state as well as local,” he said.
Authorities have issued warrants for Neal, saying they believe he murdered his wife, Jessica B. Neal, 27, and her grandfather, Don William Shed, 69. All three lived in a home at 1200 Green Springs Road with two other relatives.
Sheriff Scott Chitwood said earlier this week Neal was considered “dangerous,” and called the deaths “a horrific crime” but did not elaborate on the type of weapon used.
The sheriff’s office has offered an award for information about Sonny Neal’s location “based on the level of information,” but officials haven’t said how much.
Authorities ask that anyone with information contact the sheriff’s office at (706) 278-1233 or call 911.
