DALTON —
Dr. Ian Hamilton of Comprehensive Vascular Care in Dalton will serve as chairman of the American Heart Association’s 2011 Dalton Heart Ball.
“I am honored to serve as the chairman of the 2011 Dalton Heart Ball,” Hamilton said. “As a vascular surgeon, I witness, on a daily basis, the cost, pain and suffering that cardiac and vascular disease have on our patients and our community as a whole. Likewise, I am privileged to be able to treat patients with cardiovascular disease using new knowledge and techniques which have directly resulted from research funded by the American Heart Association. We look forward to a fun and successful Dalton Heart Ball in February.”
Hamilton and his executive leadership team will preside over the event, which will mark its 25th year.
The Dalton Heart Ball, which raises an average of $100,000 annually to fight heart disease and strokes in the community, will be Feb. 19, 2011. The ball will be at the Farm Golf Club. To learn more about volunteering, sponsorships available or to purchase seating, please contact Emily Daily, regional director of the American Heart Association, at (423) 763-4403.
“We are so excited to have Dr. Hamilton at the helm of our event here in Dalton,” Daily said. “With his leadership and the hard work of the rest of the team, we expect this to be the most successful event yet.”
