Dalton police are investigating a case in which a man believed to be about 30 years old reportedly forced his way into an elderly woman’s apartment and sexually assaulted her, officials said.
According to a press release from the Dalton Police Department, the man is white, about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and slender. He was wearing a ball cap with an emblem on the front, jeans and what appeared to be a leather jacket. He was seen leaving in an older model white Jeep Cherokee driving east on Vann Circle, the release states.
The woman was not injured, according to the release, but she was taken to Hamilton Medical Center for evaluation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Greg Bates at (706) 278-9085, extension 137.
