ATLANTA —
Forecasters have issued a freeze warning for a large swath of north Georgia as temperatures are expected to plummet.
The National Weather Service said the warning will be in effect from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday.
It covers 21 counties and includes the cities of Calhoun, Dahlonega, Dalton, Cleveland, Rome and Cartersville.
Temperatures in the region are expected to fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
