The “Pine Hillbilly Revival” theme was adopted in 2001 to assure today’s and future generations the experience of an old-time, traditional vacation Bible school. Each summer, a fresh, custom curriculum is developed to address the ever-present spiritual needs relative to today. Old singalong tunes, as well as new ones, tend to “rock” the house. Included are humorous skits promoting good morals, reoccurring characters from the “hills to the big city,” and “The Hillbilly Gospel Hour” featuring Brother Billy Hill’s puppet family. This year’s curriculum is centered around giants and will hopefully encourage participants to realize that good giants exist in God’s word, i.e., love, forgiveness, hope, kindness, friendship, trust in God and a good attitude, to always overcome the bad ones. Pine Hill Baptist Church is at 12626 Highway 41 in Tunnel Hill, one mile north of the Whitfield County line. The pastor is the Rev. Lee Williams.
