Groundhog’s shadow tweaking forecast?



The snow weather forecasters were predicting this morning for Whitfield County was expected to change to rain by the afternoon as temperatures rise into the lower 40s.

According to a National Weather Service advisory issued Friday afternoon, up to an inch of snow could fall in some locations in Whitfield County, with lighter snow expected in lower elevations.

The advisory was in effect until 7 p.m. today.

Tonight’s forecast is for cold with lows in the upper 20s. Sunday’s forecast is mostly sunny with highs in the upper 40s.
